I agree with this assertion. Living alone is the thing of the day in this era and it is accepted largely in some countries, therefore, its a positive deveolpment considering the advantages it comes with.

Some pros are that, living alone gives room for self development in the sense that, the feeling of being alone breeds the opportunity to tackle everyday living alone amidst its challenges. To be all alone means you face life head-on which in the process can build the individual to acquire practical experience.

Further more, to be self dependent is a skill which actually helps as one develops physically. Maturity on the other hand sets in in the process which builds with age. This is because living alone hits with a huge responsibility of catering for ones basic life needs like food, shelter and clothing which one cannot shy away from.

Living alone improves ones social status as people in society will appreciate the fact that one is capable of taking care of him/herself fulltime. This proves to be a very acceptable outlook which naturally demands respect from neighboors, friends and families. Before, because of a family name, people enjoys respect through that so they boycotted the need to move out of the family house and live alone.

The older generation valued everyday family cohersion which breeded unity and sustained family values. This idea had its own adverse setbacks which the new generation is unable to accept in some countries. Thus, the need to live alone.
