In some parts ot the world, it has now become a common trend for most people to want to live alone rather than with neighbours. In my opinion, this is a welcome development because it helps to prevent conflicts and allows people to exercise their right to private life.
Living in the company of others often results in a lot of disagreement over trivial issues. For example, if we have neighbours, occupying blocks of flats in a compound, one may be of the habit of improperly disposing of waste, thereby littering the environment, and the other neighbour plays loud music. Such differences in habits amongst people always result in violent altercations, which could lead people to assault each other. These reasons are enough for people to want to live separately.
Moreso, living alone allows for one to have privacy without being monitored by others. People are allowed to express themselves in their closets without fear of being monitored or judged by others. For instance, one can decide to wash his dishes, smoke cigarettes, or even decide not to cook without being accountable to anybody. But when people live together, they unknowingly monitor people and could, in the process, cross their boundaries in people's lives. Hence, living fosters emotional stability and peace within one's abode.
In conclusion, opting to live alone is a positive development in today's world because it prevents unnecessary conflicts that arise between people over trivial issues and also allows people to live private and peaceful lives. I would encourage people to live alone.
