It is widely believed that a parent is the best teacher for his or her children. This essay will discuss this trend and explain why I strongly support this phenomenon.
Overall, the first steps a child take are normally introduced by the parent. Also, the initial words uttered by children come from their parents. This is why parents play a pivotal role in teaching the child therefore enhancing the child's behaviour. Although other caregivers and teachers in school contributes to a childs growth, they only improve on what the parent has done.
Primarily, a parent who has taught their children well on discipline always prepares a great path for their children in future. This is because when a child is taught at an early age, they never forget whether what they learnt was right or wrong. For example, a child who is taught to respect others will practice this act even when they are in school. In addition, children grow up by coping what parents do. It is unfortunate that, when children are brought up from an environment where verbal abuses are practised by their parents, thay are likely to behave in the same manner. It is therefore important to ensure that children are taught well by parents since they tend to behave according to the how parents teach them.
Additionally, teachers in school can also teach children. However, this is made possible if the basic training has been achieved. It is for this reason that parents come in as the real teachers. Basic training , for instance, using the toilet or taking a bath is always initiated by a parent at home as their first tutors and later perfected by teachers in school. Parents are therefore important in shaping a child as they act as teachers.
In conclusion, as much as some parents may rely on teachers at school to teach their children, I reiterate that a child who has been taught well by their parents have better behaviours since parents act as the best teachers to their children.
