Detailed Criteria Feedback

AI-powered analysis for each scoring criterion

Task Response5
Evaluation
The essay partially addresses the prompt by discussing challenges (e.g., healthcare strain, social isolation) and solutions (e.g., healthy lifestyles, raising retirement age). However, it incorrectly mentions 'developing nation' rather than 'rich countries,' which is a key deviation from the question context. Ideas are presented but lack depth and specific development.
Examples
Introduction states 'In the developing nation,' but the question specifies 'rich countries.' Challenges like pension systems and skilled worker shortages are mentioned, but solutions are vague.
How to Improve
Carefully read the prompt to ensure all parts are addressed accurately. Focus on the specified context (rich countries) and develop ideas with concrete examples and explanations. Expand on solutions to show how they mitigate effects of aging.
Coherence & Cohesion6
Evaluation
The essay has a clear structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Linking words (e.g., 'firstly,' 'another significant issue,' 'in conclusion') are used to organize ideas. However, grammatical errors and awkward phrasing sometimes disrupt the flow and cohesion.
Examples
Misspelled linking word 'firstilly' and grammatical error 'this is can cause' break coherence. Paragraphs are logically separated but connections between sentences could be smoother.
How to Improve
Use a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., pronouns, synonyms) accurately. Proofread to correct grammatical errors that affect flow. Ensure each paragraph has a clear central topic and transitions smoothly to the next.
Lexical Resource5
Evaluation
Vocabulary is adequate for the topic, but frequent spelling errors and inaccuracies reduce clarity. Some topic-related terms are used (e.g., 'chronic disease,' 'pension system'), but word choice is often repetitive or misspelled.
Examples
Misspellings: 'peopel' for 'people,' 'requier' for 'require,' 'retiress' for 'retirees,' 'callenges' for 'challenges,' 'economec' for 'economic.' Inaccurate word form: 'shrinkage' instead of 'shrinking.'
How to Improve
Expand vocabulary related to aging populations and social issues. Practice spelling and use tools like dictionaries. Aim for more precise and varied word choices to convey meaning effectively.
Grammatical Range & Accuracy5
Evaluation
There are numerous grammatical errors throughout, including subject-verb agreement, tense usage, article omission, and word formation. Sentence structures are predominantly simple, with limited complex sentences, and errors frequently affect meaning.
Examples
Errors: 'life expectancy increase' (should be 'increases'), 'working -age population is shrinkage' (should be 'working-age population is shrinking'), 'these issues can effectivly managed' (should be 'can be effectively managed'). Missing articles: 'the government' should be 'governments' or 'the government' with consistency.
How to Improve
Focus on mastering basic grammar rules, such as verb tenses, articles, and plural forms. Practice writing complex sentences with subordinate clauses. Proofread essays to identify and correct errors, and consider using grammar check tools for practice.
