In today's evolving world, the seekers for a better life are moving to Urban areas hoping to find better opportunities. They belive this exposure can be the key to a better life. Although the city life can be a bit demanding. In this essay we will discuss the issues city dwellers face and what the government can do to improve the quality of urban resident's life.

One of the major issues the people living in the city face is the high competitive nature of urban living. The job market can get super competitive, University life is also more stressful in the cites than it the countryside. Students have this constant pressure of being successful, finding Internships and then landing a job in this economy. The second most alarming problem is the pollution and lack of nature around the city. The architecture of skyscrapers is amusing and fancy vehicles you see on the roads are intriguing" title="Correction: the fancy vehicles you see on the roads are intriguing">the fancy vehicles you see on the roads is intriguing aswell but all of these are significantly contributing to the pollution, cutting down of trees, AQI droping. All of which can lead to major health issues in the near future. Another issue which should be discussed is the inflation. City life can be exciting and also undoubtedly expensive. Those who can afford such luxuries are the ones who are most likely to truely enjoy the urban lifestyle.

The government can take a few steps to improve the quality of life for urban residents such as providing students with atleast one mandatory internship or giving a monthly stipend to the people who are genuienly trying to seek a job until they find one. The city planning should be done in a way that it should not interfare with the city's nature. Trees should be planted if possible all around the city and if not, a small section should be dedicated towards the greenlife.

In conclusion, it is observed that a lot of people come to the cities in search of a better life but rather end up facing a very harsh one. The government can not fix all the problems faced by the urban inhabitants but it can take a step forward by making small changes. The city life is fast paced but also exciting but it suits to those who can adapt and fight for their survival.

Detailed Criteria Feedback

AI-powered analysis for each scoring criterion

Task Response6.5
Evaluation
The essay identifies relevant problems (e.g., competition, pollution, inflation) and suggests government actions (e.g., internships, city planning). However, ideas are not fully extended, and solutions are briefly stated without detailed elaboration or specific examples.
Examples
Problems like 'high competitive nature' and 'pollution' are mentioned, but the explanation of how these affect city dwellers is superficial. Solutions such as 'providing internships' are noted but not developed with practical steps or evidence.
How to Improve
Expand on each problem with concrete examples (e.g., statistics on pollution-related health issues). For solutions, provide more detailed measures (e.g., how city planning can integrate green spaces, funding for stipends) and explain their potential impact.
Coherence & Cohesion6
Evaluation
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, paragraphing is not always logical, and transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt, affecting the flow.
Examples
The first body paragraph jumps from job competition to university stress to pollution without clear connections. The solution paragraph is underdeveloped and lacks linking phrases to connect ideas smoothly.
How to Improve
Use one main idea per paragraph (e.g., separate paragraphs for different problems). Employ cohesive devices (e.g., 'Furthermore,' 'In addition,') to link sentences and paragraphs. Ensure the conclusion summarizes key points without introducing new ideas.
Lexical Resource6
Evaluation
Vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are spelling errors, informal expressions, and imprecise word choices that reduce the formal tone expected in academic writing.
Examples
Informal terms: 'super competitive,' 'amusing,' 'aswell' (should be 'as well'). Spelling errors: 'belive' (believe), 'truely' (truly), 'genuienly' (genuinely), 'interfare' (interfere). Imprecise phrasing: 'AQI droping' (better: 'declining air quality index').
How to Improve
Use more formal and precise vocabulary (e.g., 'highly competitive' instead of 'super competitive'). Proofread carefully for spelling errors. Expand lexical range by incorporating topic-specific terms (e.g., 'urban sprawl,' 'sustainable development').
Grammatical Range & Accuracy5.5
Evaluation
Grammar demonstrates a mix of simple and complex structures, but errors in sentence construction, verb forms, and prepositions are frequent, which hinders clarity and accuracy.
Examples
Errors: 'University life is also more stressful in the cites than it the countryside' (correct: 'in cities than in the countryside'). 'AQI droping' (correct: 'dropping'). 'The government can not fix' (better: 'cannot fix'). 'It suits to those' (correct: 'suits those').
How to Improve
Review grammatical rules, especially prepositions ('in,' 'at'), verb tenses, and subject-verb agreement. Practice writing complex sentences with clauses (e.g., relative clauses) while ensuring accuracy. Use grammar check tools and seek feedback on written work.
