many countries, a small number of people earn extremely high incomes. Some believe this situation benefits the nation, while others argue that governments should limit how much individuals can earn. This essay discusses both views and gives my opinion.Supporters of very high incomes claim they drive economic growth and national prosperity. High earners usually pay more tax, providing governments with extra revenue to improve public services such as education, healthcare, and transport. Moreover, the possibility of earning large sums encourages people to work harder, develop new skills, and take entrepreneurial risks. Many wealthy business owners create companies that employ thousands of workers and introduce innovative products. If governments restrict income, motivation may decline and talented professionals might move to countries offering better financial rewards. In contrast, opponents argue that unlimited incomes increase inequality and social problems. When wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few, the gap between rich and poor widens, which can lead to frustration, crime, and social instability. In addition, extremely wealthy individuals may gain excessive political influence, allowing them to shape policies for personal benefit rather than the public good. Those who support income limits believe governments should ensure fairer wealth distribution so that everyone can

Task Response5
Evaluation
The essay discusses both views and states an opinion, but development is limited due to the short length and incomplete conclusion. The opinion is not fully elaborated, and key arguments are cut off.
Examples
For example, the benefits of high incomes are explained with points on tax revenue and motivation, but the opposing view on inequality lacks full development, and the essay ends mid-sentence before completing the argument.
How to Improve
Ensure you write at least 250 words. Fully develop both views with detailed examples and evidence. Provide a clear, complete conclusion that summarizes the discussion and restates your opinion.
Coherence & Cohesion5.5
Evaluation
The essay has a logical structure with an introduction and two body paragraphs, but the absence of a conclusion and the abrupt ending disrupt the flow and cohesion.
Examples
The use of 'In contrast' effectively signals the shift between views. However, the essay ends with 'so that everyone can,' leaving the reader without a resolution or summary.
How to Improve
Always include a concluding paragraph that ties together the main points. Use cohesive devices to link ideas within and between paragraphs, and ensure each paragraph is fully developed with a clear topic sentence.
Lexical Resource6
Evaluation
Vocabulary is generally appropriate and shows some range, but there is room for more variety and precision.
Examples
Words like 'entrepreneurial risks,' 'national prosperity,' and 'social instability' are used correctly. However, phrases such as 'extra revenue' could be more specific.
How to Improve
Incorporate a wider range of academic vocabulary and synonyms. Avoid repetition by using different words to express similar ideas, and aim for more precise terminology to enhance clarity.
Grammatical Range & Accuracy6
Evaluation
Grammar is mostly accurate with complex sentence structures, but the incomplete sentence is a notable error.
Examples
Sentences like 'High earners usually pay more tax, providing governments with extra revenue...' demonstrate good grammatical control. However, the final sentence is unfinished, which affects overall accuracy.
How to Improve
Review sentences for completeness. Practice writing full paragraphs with clear beginnings and endings. Focus on using a variety of sentence structures while maintaining accuracy.
