There are two contradicting views on weather university students should be free to select their own subjects or weather they should only be allowed to study the subjects that will be useful in the future, such as those related to scince subjects.
Some people belive that universuty studnets should be allowed to choose their own subjects because a university student is mature enough to decide which subject he is interested in and is benificial for his studies and research. A university student holds an excellent carrier and then he manages to reach university so he should be allowed to to choose his subjects by hs own will.
The other narrative is that students should be allowed to study the subjects which are useful for them in the future. They say that universuty students should only be allowed to study subjects which are relevant to their previous studies. For example if a student has studied science subjects prior to university, then he should not be allowd to study the arts subjects. Similarly if someone studies arts subjects prior to university, he should only be allowed to study arts subjects.
In my opinion, the studnets should be free in choosing their sunjects because student better knows that which subject is according to his interests. Moreover, it's the student who better knows what his future goals are and in which subjects he needs to excell more in order to compete with mdern day requirements. I personally have so many different examples, during my university time, of students who want to excell their efforts in subjects which they were not free to choose and in the end their accademic resuults were affected negativley.

Detailed Criteria Feedback

AI-powered analysis for each scoring criterion

Task Response5.5
Evaluation
The response covers both views and presents a clear opinion, but ideas are not fully extended or supported. The discussion lacks depth, and examples are vague, not specifically tied to the question's focus on future usefulness (e.g., science and technology).
Examples
The personal example is mentioned but not elaborated: 'I personally have so many different examples, during my university time, of students who want to excell their efforts in subjects which they were not free to choose...' without detailing what happened or how it relates to future utility.
How to Improve
Provide more detailed explanations and specific, relevant examples to support each view. Clearly connect arguments to the question's emphasis on subjects useful for the future, such as science and technology, and explore the implications of student choice versus societal needs.
Coherence & Cohesion5
Evaluation
The essay has a basic structure with introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, but the progression of ideas is not always logical. Cohesive devices are underused, and some sentences are confusing due to errors, affecting flow.
Examples
In the first body paragraph: 'A university student holds an excellent carrier and then he manages to reach university so he should be allowed to to choose his subjects by hs own will.' This sentence is unclear and contains typos, disrupting coherence.
How to Improve
Use linking words (e.g., however, furthermore, on the other hand) to connect ideas more effectively. Ensure each paragraph starts with a clear topic sentence and that sentences within paragraphs flow smoothly. Proofread to eliminate errors that hinder readability.
Lexical Resource5
Evaluation
Vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors and inappropriate word choices. Errors sometimes impede communication, and the range of lexical items is basic.
Examples
Repeated errors: 'weather' for 'whether', 'scince' for 'science', 'belive' for 'believe', 'universuty' for 'university', 'studnets' for 'students', 'benificial' for 'beneficial', 'carrier' for 'career', 'narrative' for 'view', 'allowd' for 'allowed', 'accademic' for 'academic', 'resuults' for 'results', 'negativley' for 'negatively'.
How to Improve
Expand vocabulary by learning topic-related words and using synonyms to avoid repetition. Practice spelling regularly and use a dictionary to check word meanings and usage. Read model essays to see how vocabulary is employed accurately.
Grammatical Range & Accuracy5
Evaluation
There are frequent grammatical errors, including incorrect verb forms, missing articles, and punctuation issues. Sentence structures are mostly simple, with attempts at complexity but inaccuracies.
Examples
Errors include: 'to to choose', 'by hs own will' (typo for 'his'), 'he should not be allowd to study the arts subjects' (missing 'be' before 'allowed' or typo), 'their accademic resuults were affected negativley.' (multiple spelling and grammatical errors).
How to Improve
Review basic grammar rules, focusing on verb tenses, articles, prepositions, and sentence structure. Practice writing complex sentences with clauses and connectors. Proofread essays carefully to identify and correct errors, and consider using grammar-checking tools for practice.
