Some people argue that the main purpose of museums is to educate people, others believe that they should focus on providing entertainment to the people. Although meuseums can be entertaining, I believe their primary purpose should be to educate people.
On the one hand, museums contain many historic artefacts, science discoveries and artwork that help people to understand the history of culture and learn about the past events. Moreover students also visit the museums as part of educational trips, which allows them to gain experience outside the classrooms and helps them to learn more about our past history and mechanics behind the science.
On the other hand, some people think that museums should be also enjoyable places. If museums provide intresting games, interactive ideas or artifical robots, visitors may find the experience more intresting. This can attract more people, especially young visitors or teenagers. Entertainment helps visitors stay engaged for a longer period of time and explore more section of the museum. But this destroys the theme of museums. When we think of the museum, the image which comes in our mind is vintage and big building. If we try to make it more modernised, their are chances that upcoming generation will not have the knowledge that how brave and strong were our ancestors.
In conclusion, if people want to make museums more intresting they can do it for the animal museums or make special museums which contains only the fun projects and activities. The main responsibility for the museums should be to provide educational values to the society.
